Support and Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Project Project Description The Support and Empowerment for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Project is a humanitarian and community development initiative of JECI – Jesus Call Initiatives Limited, based in Iganga District, Uganda. The project is committed to improving the quality of life of children, youth, and adults living with disabilities by promoting inclusion, equal opportunities, dignity, and self-reliance. Many persons with disabilities in our communities face challenges such as poverty, discrimination, unemployment, limited access to education, healthcare, assistive devices, and livelihood opportunities. These barriers often prevent them from participating fully in society and achieving their potential. Through this project, JECI provides comprehensive support to persons with disabilities by facilitating access to education, healthcare, vocational skills training, assistive devices, psychosocial support, livelihood opportunities, and community inclusion programs. The project also advocates for the rights of persons with disabilities and works to eliminate stigma and discrimination through awareness campaigns and community engagement. In addition, JECI supports PWDs with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, crutches, white canes, hearing aids, and other assistive devices where resources permit. The organization also promotes economic empowerment by providing vocational training, entrepreneurship support, startup tools, and income-generating opportunities that enable beneficiaries to become financially independent. Despite the growing demand for disability support services, limited financial resources and equipment continue to affect our ability to reach every person in need. JECI therefore appeals to government agencies, development partners, churches, corporate organizations, philanthropists, and well-wishers to partner with us in transforming the lives of persons with disabilities across Iganga District and beyond. By investing in persons with disabilities, we are creating inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to learn, work, participate, and live with dignity. Education Support and Scholastic Empowerment for Orphans and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Project Description The Education Support and Scholastic Empowerment Project is a core program of JECI – Jesus Call Initiatives Limited, based in Iganga District, Uganda. The project is dedicated to ensuring that orphans, vulnerable children, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) have access to quality, inclusive, and uninterrupted education regardless of their financial or social circumstances. Many children and learners living with disabilities in our communities face significant barriers to education, including poverty, lack of school fees, inadequate scholastic materials, discrimination, and limited family support. As a result, many are forced to miss school, perform poorly, or drop out completely, limiting their opportunities for a brighter future. Through this project, JECI provides educational support by paying school tuition, supplying scholastic materials, and meeting other essential educational needs. Beneficiaries receive school bags, exercise books, textbooks, pens, pencils, mathematical sets, school uniforms, shoes, and other learning materials necessary for effective participation in school. The project also provides mentorship, career guidance, psychosocial support, and follow-up with schools and families to ensure that every child remains in school and succeeds academically. JECI is committed to promoting inclusive education by ensuring that children and learners with disabilities receive equal opportunities, appropriate learning support, and a safe learning environment where they can achieve their full potential. Despite our efforts, the number of children requiring educational assistance continues to increase, while available resources remain limited. We therefore appeal to individuals, churches, companies, development partners, philanthropists, and well-wishers to support this initiative through tuition sponsorships, donations of scholastic materials, and financial contributions. Project Description The Vocational Skills Development and Empowerment Project is a flagship initiative of JECI – Jesus Call Initiatives Limited, based in Iganga District, Uganda. The project is designed to equip orphans, vulnerable children, youth, women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and unemployed community members with practical vocational and entrepreneurial skills that enable them to become self-reliant, economically productive, and financially independent. Many young people and vulnerable individuals in Iganga District face unemployment, poverty, and limited access to quality education and income-generating opportunities. As a result, many are unable to meet their basic needs or support their families. Through this project, JECI aims to bridge this gap by providing marketable skills that create pathways to employment, self-employment, and sustainable livelihoods. The project offers hands-on training in various vocational disciplines, including tailoring and fashion design, hairdressing and beauty therapy, carpentry and joinery, welding and metal fabrication, bricklaying and construction, computer and digital skills, electrical installation, plumbing, agriculture, poultry farming, baking and catering, soap and detergent making, liquid soap production, crafts, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. In addition to technical training, beneficiaries receive mentorship, life skills education, business development support, career guidance, and financial management training to help them establish and sustain successful businesses or secure employment. Graduates may also receive startup support, business incubation, or referrals to microfinance and employment opportunities where resources permit. JECI is committed to promoting inclusive vocational education by ensuring equal participation of women, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. The project contributes to poverty reduction, youth empowerment, gender equality, and community development by building the capacity of beneficiaries to earn sustainable incomes and improve their quality of life. However, the demand for vocational training continues to grow while available training equipment, workshops, learning materials, and financial resources remain limited. JECI therefore appeals to government agencies, development partners, churches, companies, philanthropists, and well-wishers to support the expansion of this project through financial contributions, equipment donations, training materials, scholarships, and technical partnerships. The Feeding Orphans and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) Program is a humanitarian initiative of JECI – Jesus Call Initiatives Limited, based in Iganga District, Uganda. The program is dedicated to providing nutritious meals and food assistance to vulnerable orphans and persons with disabilities who struggle to access adequate daily nutrition due to poverty, abandonment, and limited sources of income. Many of the beneficiaries supported by JECI face severe food insecurity. Orphaned children often lack consistent access to balanced meals, while many persons with disabilities are unable to meet their daily nutritional needs because of unemployment, social exclusion, and financial hardship. Hunger negatively affects their health, education, productivity, dignity, and overall quality of life. Through this program, JECI provides regular nutritious meals and food relief to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable children and adults living with disabilities. Our goal is to ensure that every beneficiary has access to healthy food, enabling children to learn effectively and persons with disabilities to live healthier, more dignified, and independent lives. However, the increasing number of beneficiaries has exceeded our available resources. We urgently need support from individuals, churches, organizations, companies, and development partners to sustain and expand this feeding program. Every donation helps provide essential food items such as maize flour (posho), rice, beans, cooking oil, sugar, salt, vegetables, fruits, milk, and clean drinking water. Together, we can reduce hunger, restore hope, and improve the lives of those who need it most.
